BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Kyrgyzstan produced 171,412 tons of milk from January through February 2023, which is a slight increase compared to the same period of 2022 (168,684 tons of milk), Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the regions of the country in terms of the volume of raw milk production as of March 1. During the reporting period, 49,422 tons of milk was produced in the region.

The Sokuluk district was the leader in the Chuy region, producing over 11,000 tons of milk, while the smallest volume of milk in the region was recorded in the Kemin district at 1,900 tons.

The Osh region ranked second in terms of milk production volume, with over 32,000 tons. The Kara-Suu district was the leader in the region with a volume of 9,700 tons of milk, while the smallest volume of raw milk production in the region was registered in the Chong-Alay district.

In the Issyk-Kul region, farmers produced 30,900 tons of raw milk as of March 1, 2023. The largest volume of milk in the region was produced in the Jeti -Oguz district (9,300 tons), while the smallest volume was recorded in the Tong district (3,600 tons).
