Revenues of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget surpass set plan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 14. The revenues of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget totaled 229.85 billion soms ($2.6 billion) from January through August 2023, Trend reports.

Data from the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan indicates that the set plan of 205 billion soms ($2.3 billion) was exceeded by 12 percent. Compared to the same period in 2022, revenues increased by 38.3 percent or by 63.6 billion soms ($719 million).

Overall, the republican budget of Kyrgyzstan recorded a surplus of 20.4 billion soms ($230.7 million) from January through August 2023.

The republican budget of Kyrgyzstan for 2023 was approved, with revenues set at 325 billion soms ($3.6 billion) and expenditures amounting to 346 billion soms ($3.9 billion).

The revenues of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget amounted to 270.3 billion soms ($3.2 billion) in 2022. However, expenditures also increased, reaching 283.4 billion soms ($3.4 billion) last year.

The total revenues of the country’s state budget amounted to 300 billion soms ($3.4 billion) in 2022, which is 99.6 percent of the planned target. Compared to the corresponding period in the previous year, the overall budget revenues increased by 43.3 percent.
