BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 16. Total revenues of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget for 2024 are projected to reach 378.437 billion soms ($4.2 billion), Ruslan Suinaliev, Deputy Minister of Finance, announced during a meeting of the parliament's committee, Trend reports.
He mentioned that the overall expenditure of the republican budget for 2024, excluding financial assets, is set at 358.794 billion soms ($4 billion).
The budget surplus for 2024 is expected to be 19.643 billion soms ($202 million), which corresponds to 1.6 percent of the GDP, Suinaliev informed.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, the revenues of Kyrgyzstan's republican budget totaled 229.85 billion soms ($2.6 billion) from January through August 2023.
The set plan of 205 billion soms ($2.3 billion) was exceeded by 12 percent. Compared to the same period in 2022, revenues increased by 38.3 percent, or 63.6 billion soms ($719 million).
The republican budget of Kyrgyzstan for 2023 was approved with revenues set at 325 billion soms ($3.6 billion) and expenditures amounting to 346 billion soms ($3.9 billion).
The total revenue of the state budget from January to August 2023 amounted to 251.9 billion soms ($2.8 billion) as per preliminary estimations, surpassing the set plan by 11.6 percent.
