BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. Tajikistan shared data on agricultural production in the Sughd region from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the region's authorities.
According to the statistics, Sughd's production of agricultural products in the first half of 2022 amounted to 3.6 billion somoni ($326.7 million).
The total amount of animal production from January through June 2022 reached 1.7 billion somoni ($166.8 million) and crop production - 1.6 billion somoni ($159.9 million).
Moreover, from Tajikistan's Sughd region goods worth $519.8 million were exported in the reporting period, while the total amount of imports amounted to $896.6 million.
Meanwhile, the total value of Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover from January through June 2022 amounted to $3.6 billion, which is an increase of 28.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($2.8 billion).
