BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. The Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence in Tajikistan and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority of the UAE (NCEMA) have signed a memorandum of understanding, Trend reports citing Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The agreement was signed by the head of the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda and Chairman of NCEMA Ali Saeed Al Neyadi

As reported, under this agreement, the two countries will seek to enhance cooperation in addressing emergencies and mitigating the consequences of such occurrences through the exchange of information and expertise.

"The agreement emphasis providing mutual aid and enhancing cooperation in the technical and humanitarian fields, in addition to exchanging experience, planning for joint development of scientific research projects, and exchanging information, methodologies and technologies in the field of emergency prevention and response," the message says.

Nazarzoda underlined the significance of this agreement with NCEMA, which would raise unified work and joint efforts in the field of emergencies, crises, and disasters.

Al Neyadi, for his part, emphasized the depth of the two countries' bilateral relations and the importance of strengthening them through such agreements that would enhance joint work in the field of emergency and crisis management, particularly in light of the current challenges the world is witnessing.

Meanwhile, the signing ceremony was held at NCEMA headquarters and attended by Obaid Rashid Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Vice President of NCEMA, a delegation from the Tajik Embassy in the UAE, and a number of directors of various NCEMA departments.
