BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. Cooperation agreements were signed between Tajik and Kazakh companies for the supply of agricultural products to Kazakhstan, Trend reports via Tajik media.
The agreements were signed during the recent visit of entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan's Sughd region.
During a meeting, Kazakh entrepreneurs at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sughd region signed documents on supply of onions, carrots, cabbage, radishes and fruits - apricots, cherries, grapes and dried fruits from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan.
As a result of the meeting, a number of agreements and memorandums were signed between Tajik Vitaminhoi Tojikiston LLC and Kazakh Umay Agro Impex LLC and other companies.
According to the source, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan amounted to $1.2 billion in 2021, and this year this figure could reach $1.5 billion.
Earlier, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan reported that exports from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan exceeded $388 million from January through September 2022, which is an increase of 55.5 percent over the same period in 2021.
