President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov received Executive Director of Turkmenistan-US Business Council Eric Stewart, the Turkmen national TV channel Altyn Asyr said Sept.4.
Focusing on the existing potential for building up bilateral cooperation, the Turkmen leader and his guest discussed the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the trade and economic sectors.
It was also noted that business forums held on a regular basis contributed to the development of effective ways to expand fruitful relations. The transport and agricultural sectors were specified among the promising areas of Turkmen-US business relations. Particular attention during the meeting was paid to development of cooperation in the power industry and financial sector.
The US businessman highly evaluated the initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov on implementation of projects in the transit and transport sphere, the main goal of which were to strengthen and promote interregional relations. In this regard, the distinguished guest underlined the key role of the Turkmen state that has an advantageous geographical location.
Speaking about the significant work carried out by Turkmenistan-US Business Council, the Turkmen leader said that strengthening relations between the business structures of the two countries contributed to deepening interstate relations built on a long-term and mutually beneficial basis.
In conclusion, the president and his guest expressed belief that Turkmen-US partnership would continue to develop successfully.
