Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks Oct. 11 with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov before the start of the summit of CIS member states in Ashgabat city, Trend reports referring to the Russian media Oct. 11.
Assistant to Russia’s President Yuri Ushakov said that the heads of state will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as a number of topical issues of a regional nature.
“From January to July 2019, Russia-Turkmenistan trade increased by 62.2 percent, to $284.1 million,” Ushakov noted. “At the same time, Russian exports grew by 80.7 percent, to $197.2 million, imports - by 31.7 percent, to $86.9 million.”
About 190 companies with Russian capital operate in Turkmenistan.
