BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. The total volume of capital investments disbursed from all sources of financing in Turkmenistan from January through April 2022 amounted to 7.8 billion Turkmen manats ($2.28 billion), Trend reports citing Orient news.
This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.
According to the head of state, 492 new economic entities were registered in the four months of 2022, and over 1,600 new jobs were opened in the regions.
Furthermore, work is being successfully carried out to increase production capacities of industries and the sustainable development of regions, to improve the social and living conditions of the population, for which the state allocates huge funds.
The president stated that it is necessary to increase the level of industrialization of the branches of the national economy, to intensify institutional reforms and introduce digital technologies.
Meanwhile, the meeting summed up the results of the government's work on the economy over the first four months of 2022, assessed the relevant reports, and also considered a number of other issues.
