BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 21. The volume of cotton fiber production from January through June 2022 in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has been announced, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
During this period, 40,300 tons of cotton fiber were produced in the region, which is 3,500 tons higher than in the same period last year.
Furthermore, cotton threads totaling 175.6 million Turkmen manats ($50.1 million) were manufactured in the Lebap region from January through June 2022, while the production growth rate reached 43 percent.
Turkmenistan invests heavily in the formation of modern industrial infrastructure, which contributes both to the comprehensive development of the regions and to the economic prosperity of the country as a whole.
