BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. A transport conference of landlocked developing countries will be held in the Turkmen city of Turkmenbashi on August 15-16, Trend reports citing the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The forum will be held on the initiative of Turkmenistan and under the auspices of the UN.
The participation in the conference was confirmed by delegations from more than 30 states, heads of leading international and specialized organizations, including the UN, OSCE, ECO, the International Road Transport Union, the International Telecommunication Union, TRACECA, as well as a number of banks and financial institutions.
Meanwhile, the upcoming forum is one of the key stages in the preparation of the III UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled for 2024.
