BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Entrepreneurs from UAE and Afghanistan purchased gasoline of the ECO-93 brand from Turkmen production during trading on March 17 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Businessmen from UAE and Afghanistan purchased 150,000 tons of gasoline on the exchange at a price of $798.5 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $119.7 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, from February 20 through 22, 2023, businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 10,000 tons of RON-95 brand gasoline for a total of $8 million.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
For example, the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex located in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan produced over 1.5 million tons of gasoline in 2022, exceeding the plan by 13.7 percent.
