Turkmenistan discloses balance of loans issued to organizations and state institutions

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The balance of credit funds issued by credit institutions of Turkmenistan to state institutions and enterprises as of February 1, 2023 amounted to 57.73 billion Turkmen manats ($16.49 billion), Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

According to the information, these figures are 6.3 percent higher than the same date last year (54.27 billion Turkmen manats or $15.51 billion).

The total amount of loan balances issued to non-state enterprises and organizations of the country at the beginning of February this year amounted to 11.95 billion Turkmen manats ($3.41 billion), which is 33 percent more than in the same period of 2022 (8.98 billion Turkmen manats, or $2.56 billion).

The country's financial sector is constantly expanding. In particular, mobile applications are being introduced to pay for various services and goods, the number of non-cash payments is increasing, and payment for goods and services is being implemented through bank terminals.
