BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Turkmenistan and China have signed another series of documents aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation in various fields, Trend reports.
According to official Turkmen sources, the documents were signed on May 18, 2023 following talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.
As a result of the negotiations, a protocol was signed on amendments to the agreement between the governments of Turkmenistan and China on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation committee, and an agreement was adopted between the governments of the two countries on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters.
At the same time, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding on quarantine in the import and export of animals between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the General Administration of Customs of China, as well as a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of mass media between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and State Council Information Office of China.
The parties also signed a memorandum on cooperation and mutual exchange between the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Chinese Communist Party.
Meanwhile, President of Turkmenistan signed 15 documents on cooperation with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to China in January this year.
