ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 22. The Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar, launched a project to import Turkmen electricity to the provinces of Jawzjan, Baghlan and then to the capital Kabul city, Trend reports.
During the implementation of this project, 500 kilovolts of power will be delivered and hundreds of organizations will be provided with electricity.
Furthermore, it will also provide electricity to the southern provinces through Kabul city.
The export of Turkmen electricity will allow Afghanistan to increase its energy potential, as well as open up new horizons for partners in the field of energy supplies to world markets.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is currently implementing a number of major energy projects with Afghanistan aimed at ensuring the energy security of the region, as well as opening up markets in South Asia.
