ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 4. Turkmen enterprises exceeded production targets set for the construction and industrial sectors from January through February this year, Trend reports.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, during the specified period, the plan for the production of products and the work carried out in the construction and industrial sectors during the reporting period was exceeded by 17.2 percent.
He noted that in the first two months of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production fulfilled the plan for production and work carried out by 100 percent, and the Ministry of Construction and Architecture by 107.3 percent.
Furthermore, Annamamedov added that from January through February of this year, the plan for the work carried out by the State Agency for Road Construction Management was exceeded by 9.8 percent, and the municipality of Ashgabat city – by 9.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has undergone significant transformation in its industrial sector, propelled by strategic initiatives aimed at diversification, modernization, and attracting foreign investment.
Leveraging its abundant natural resources, particularly in the energy sector with vast reserves of natural gas, the country has prioritized the development of industries such as petrochemicals, textiles, and construction materials.
