Another round of the Uzbek-Romanian foreign ministerial political consultations will be held in Tashkent on May 14, the Uzbek foreign ministry said on May 12.
State Secretary for Strategic Affairs Daniel Ioniță will head the delegation of the Romanian foreign ministry.
During the visit, the Romanian delegation will also meet with the top officials of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic and discuss the prospects of developing the trade-economic relations.
The previous round of the Uzbek-Romanian political consultations was held in Bucharest in May 2013.
Uzbekistan and Romania signed more than 10 agreements on mutual cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical, transport sector, culture, science and tourism.
Romanian Prime Minister Victor-Viorel Ponta paid an official visit to Uzbekistan in June 2013.
An agreement on the establishment of an intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial and technical cooperation was reached.
