On the initiative of the Fergana regional administration, a project for production of oxygen concentrators was implemented in the free economic zone Kokand in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to UzA.uz information agency.
The project was implemented in the shortest possible time by Great Kokand LLC.
During the coronavirus pandemic, the need for oxygen concentrators has increased.
The total cost of the project for the production of oxygen concentrators amounted to $300,000.
Deputy Mayor of the Fergana region noted that due to the new production, regional and republican medical institutions will fully provide oxygen concentrators.
“Particular attention is paid to protecting the population from the coronavirus. All the necessary measures were taken, the material and technical base of medical institutions was strengthened, special places for patients and a reserve of medicines were created,” said the director of the enterprise.
The enterprise will annually produce 30,000 oxygen concentrators.
