BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The number of trips of Turkish citizens to Uzbekistan for employment from January through April 2022 has increased significantly, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.

During this period, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Uzbekistan through the General Directorate of the Turkish Employment Agency increased by 17.3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 156.

From January through April 2022, 5,560 Turkish citizens went abroad through the agency, which is 45.9 percent more than in 2021.

In April 2022, 139,443 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through the employment agency. During the reporting period, the number of unemployed in Turkey was 3.583 million, of which 49 percent are women and 51 percent are men.

In 2021, 87,681 Turkish citizens were provided with work through the agency, of which 58.7 percent were men, 41.3 percent were women, and 98.9 percent of job seekers got jobs in the private sector.

In 2021, the number of unemployed in Turkey was 3.1 billion, of which 49.8 percent are women and 50.2 percent are men.
