Uzbek Sanoat Energetika Guruhi announces operational update for 6M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 21. Uzbek Sanoat Energetika Guruhi (SEG), one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uzbekistan, announced an operational update for the first half of the year, Trend reports via SEG.

Total oil production during the corresponding period amounted to 276,000 tons, which is an increase of 9 percent compared to the same period in 2021. Production of petroleum oils significantly increased, up to 21,870.61 tons.

As of 1 July 2022, average daily production levels were 1,598 tons of oil, 109 tons of condensate and 4 tons of gas. The average daily production of hydrocarbons was over 1,700 tons.

In the first half of 2022, five wells were put into operation from drilling, whilst 34 wells recommenced operation having been previously mothballed and deemed uneconomic.

During this period, SEG concluded new offtake contracts, both domestically in Uzbekistan, and in seven foreign markets – including Europe (Poland, Germany, UK) and Central Asia (Kazakhstan and Tajikistan).

SEG further diversified its order books across diesel fuel, gasoline and aviation kerosene, increased capital investment and repairs of fixed assets.

In total, 119,445 tons of diesel fuel, 85,399 tons of gasoline, and 3,062 tons of TS-1 aviation kerosene were supplied to customers.

In the first half of the year, 24 new sites were developed, with an investment of over 67,084 million soums ($6.11 million), and 93 facilities were repaired with an investment of over 20,381 million soums ($1.85 million).

In addition, a digitization strategy is being implemented across the company, to reduce manual operations, and increase overall efficiency including the reliability of oil production.
