BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan announced details of projects implemented in the country by Saudi ACWA Power company,Trend reports via the ministry.
According to the ministry, ACWA Power is building 5 modern power plants with a total capacity of 4,100 MW in Uzbekistan, including 4 wind power plants with a capacity of 2,600 MW and 1 modern thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,500 MW.
Among them:
-1 modern thermal power plant with a capacity of 1500 MW, being built on the territory of the city of Shirin of the Boyovut district in the Syrdarya region;
-2 power plants of 500 MW each in the Peshkun and Gijduvon districts of the Bukhara region;
- In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, projects for the construction of 2 wind power plants with a total capacity of 1,600 MW are being implemented.
