TAHSKENT, Uzbekistan, October 3. Prices at gas stations in Uzbekistan have increased by 16 percent per cubic meter, Trend reports.
Following the recent reforms in gas tariffs for businesses, budgetary organizations, and other legal entities, gas filling stations raised prices from 2700–2800 soums (22–23 cents) to 3100–3250 soums (25–27 cents) per cubic meter.
The Uzbek government has implemented a maximum price of 3250 soums for gas per cubic meter as a proactive measure to curb and forestall any abrupt and significant surges in gas prices.
