North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Pak Kil Yon has met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran, Mehr news agency reported.
Pak arrived in Tehran on Monday to attend the meeting of political consultative committee of Iran and North Korea which opened on February 21 and runs until February 24.
During the meeting, Salehi appreciated the "resistance of the North Korean nation" against the U.S. pressure and expressed hope that the relations between the two countries would expand in the future.
Pak also announced his country's readiness to expand cooperation with the Islamic Republic, particularly in the area of economics.
