Iran is currently has 15 million liters surplus for diesel export per day while its refining capacities increases by 80,000 barrels, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Zeyghami as saying.
"By $45 billion investment from government and private sectors in Iran's refinery projects the volume of export would increase," he said.
It's predicted by the end of Fifth Development Plan (2010-2015) Iran will increase gasoline production to 70 million liters per day while country's gasoline consumption will reach 65 million liters, he added.
Iran's diesel production is currently 100 million liters per day while its consumption is 85 million liters per day and has capacity to export 15 million liters per day.
By installing gasoline production units in Shahzand refinery the production capacity increases to 16 million liters per day.
