Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri said that the rumors about the Iranian missile stockpile in Syria attacked by Israel are nothing but a psychological war, ISNA agency reported.

According to the report, Jazayeri said on May 6 that Israel's character is formed based on invasion, while it is supported by the U.S. to make separation and hostilities among Muslims.

Iranian General went on saying that Syrian government and army are enough powerful to defeat rebels and don't need to Iran's military aid.

Daily New York Times reported before on May 5 that a series of powerful explosions rocked the outskirts of Damascus early in the morning on Sunday, which, according to Syrian state television, was the result of Israeli missile attacks on a Syrian military installation.

According to this report, the airstrikes conducted during the two days that Israeli warplanes were in Syria were directed at a shipment of advanced surface-to-surface missiles from Iran which, according to Israel, was intended for Hezbollah, unnamed American officials said on Saturday.
