CPC INCREASES OIL SHIPMENT BY 49.3% IN JAN-AUG 2005

(RBC) вЂ" The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) increased oil shipment by 49.3% or up to 20.15m tons, the Company said. The CPS shipped 2.54m tons oil or 640,000 barrel per day as compared 2.6m tons or 653,150 barrel per day in July 2005.

The Company plans to ship totally 32m tons oil on the KPC pipeline system in 2005.

The CPC is the first big oil pipeline in the former USSR constructed with participation of private capital, which connects the Tengiz field with the export terminal near Novosibirsk. The big shareholders of the CPC are governments of Russia, Kazakhstan and Oman, as well as companies ChevronTexaco, Eni, ExxonMobil and Lukoil.
