Ahmadinejad: Several domestic problems have their roots abroad

(IRNA) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Tuesday evening that several of the country's problems have their roots abroad, and underlined the need for accurate and principled planning to neutralize enemy conspiracies.

Addressing a number of senior officials of the information ministry, the Iranian president said the enemies believe they can achieve their goals by infiltrating the country and sowing discord among different Iranian groups and sects, reports Trend

But, he pointed out, despite all the hatred harbored against it by its enemies, continues in the path of progress and development in accordance with the aspirations of the Father of the Islamic Revolution and under the leadership of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Certain losers continue to believe they can materialize the enemies' objectives by causing trouble and waging psychological wars, but the vigilant Iranian nation has always frustrated them, the president said.

He said maintaining society's morale and removing pessimism over the current state of affairs is the task of the Information Ministry, he said.

Prior to President Ahmadinejad's speech, Information Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei briefed the audience on his ministry's activities and performance.
