The Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI) and Italian Export Credit Agency signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation.
The agreement is aimed to promote Iran-Italy trade turnover by providing export insurances, risk assessment information, IRNA reported on May 15.
According to Iran Custom Administration's latest report, Iran's export to Italy decreased by 62 percent last month to $12.8 million year-to-year, while its imports from Italy increased by 50.7 percent to $58.2 million.
Iran's export to Italy during last Iranian fiscal year, ended on March 21 increased by 208.5 percent to $618.4 million, while its imports increased by 23.26 percent to $1.05 billion year-on-year.
