Iran is preparing to set the feedstock gas price for petrochemical units at 8.2 cents per cubic meters ($82/1000 cubic meters) next week, the Deputy Minister of Oil for Planning and Supervision on Hydrocarbon Reserves Mohammad-Mehdi Rahmati told Shana on April 11.
He said that several factors are involved in setting of feedstock price for petrochemical plants, including gas export price, the international petrochemical price and domestic gas price in various spheres.
"The initial decision made by the Oil Ministry put the feedstock gas price for petchems at 8.2 cents for next 6 months, but the figure could vary between 8.1 to 8.3 cents.
