The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) increased by 706.46 points (0.52 percent) to end the trades at 137,472.4 on Aug. 29.
According to the TSE official website, about 3,749 million shares valued at $233 million were traded for the day.
The trading value registered a rise by 52 percent, while the volume increased by 67.9 percent compared to the preceding day.
The Price Index (TEPIX) increased by 206.68 points (0.52 percent) to post 40,210.9.
The First Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (FM) increased by 211.38 points (0.21 percent) to 101,291.4.
The Second Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (SM) increased by 2,896.48 points (1.07 percent) to post 273,726.5.
The Industry Index increased by 336.72 points (0.27 percent) to post 125,796.7.
TSE 30 Index gained 6.72 points (0.10 percent) to close at 6,730.5.
TSE 50 Index gained 18.29 points (0.31 percent) to end at 5,971.1.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company, Bank Mellat, Pars Petrochemical Company, Bank Tejarat and Shazand Petrochemical Company were among those that had the highest positive effect on the TSE index.
Meanwhile, Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Khouzestan Steel Company, Omid Investment Management Corporation, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.
