30,000 tons of grapes harvested in Iran's Sistan & Baluchestan province

Some 30,000 tons of grapes have been harvested and supplied to markets in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province, an official with The province's Agricultural Jihad Organization Ardashir Sharaki said, Trend reports via IRNA.

He noted that 3,800 hectares have been allocated to vines in Sistan and Baluchestan, however, only 2,800 hectares of the total territory were fruitful.

Thanks to the climate, most agricultural crops can be grown twice a year in Sistan and Baluchestan province. Some of the province's main crops include mango, banana, papaya, guava and coconuts.
