Unemployment rate in Iran decreased by 0.2 percent in the autumn of 2019 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Statistical Center.
The unemployment rate in Iran fell to 10.6 percent in the autumn of 2019.
Some 44.3 percent of the population aged 15 years and older accounted for economically active people.
In the autumn, 24.4 million people were able to work, and 472,000 people started work, according to the report.
Most jobs accounted for the services sector (50 percent), industry (32.9 percent) and agriculture (17.1 percent), the report noted.
Some 25.8 percent of the Iranians aged 15-24 years were unemployed. This is 1.2 percent less than last autumn.
In the autumn, the unemployment rate of the Iranians aged 18-35 years decreased by 1.4 percent compared to the autumn of last year.
