Iran's Barakat Foundation shares data on job creation

TEHRAN, Iran, May.19

The Barakat Foundation that is connected to the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order has created 220,000 jobs in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020), said the Managing Director of Barakat Foundation.

It is expected that 270,000 new jobs would be created in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) with a $3.1 billion investment that would be provided via an agreement with 10 banks and financial institutes, said Mohammad Mokhber, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.

A total of 85,000 projects have been launched in the last Iranian year while the Barakat Foundation will start an online system for supporting businesses damaged by Coronavirus.

"The Barakat application would create employment for individuals that immigrated from villages to cities and provides direct public investment for creating jobs in rural regions," he added.

So far 338,000 direct and indirect jobs created in rural regions and villages and 7,703 villages were covered by the foundation.

The third clinical phase of the Coronavirus vaccine produced (by Barakat Foundation) has been started last week and 20,000 individuals in six provinces would be vaccinated in this phase.

The Ministry of Health would decide the timeline for public vaccination of COVO-Iran Barakat and mass production would be provided to the ministry.
