Iran is increasing transportation via the TRACECA corridor, said Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development Shahram Adamnejad, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The agenda is to empower TRACECA Corridor by expanding transit cooperation with neighboring countries, he said.
Adamnejad said Iran is pursuing to improve infrastructure and accelerates transit across the region.
TRACECA virtual meeting held on Friday, focused on increasing transportation, transit development in member countries and promoting the corridor into a digital corridor in next four years.
The Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACECA) program was launched at a conference in Brussels in May 1993. TRACECA currently unites the transport system of thirteen countries, which form a corridor stretching from Europe to the borders of China.
