Iran's Petro-Farhang affiliators overyield methanols

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Methanol production at Sabalan Petrochemical Company and Pars Middle East Chemical Company, subordinated to Iran Petro-Farhang Company, has increased by 73 percent in 3 months of the fall season of the current Iranian year (September 23 through December 21, 2023) compared to the same period last year, executive director of Petro-Farhang Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Holding, Javad Zarepour said, Trend reports.

Zarepour claims that Sabalan Petrochemical Company and Pars Middle East Chemical Company produced 713,000 tons of methanol over the aforementioned three months, and the two companies generated a total of 413,000 tons of methanol over the same period last year.

According to the executive director, Petro-Farhang, with 16 Iranian subsidiaries, is tracking the increase in production at its subordinate companies using company-developed programs.

The Sabalan Petrochemical Company was founded in 2010. This firm is capable of producing 1.65 million tons of methanol per year.

The Middle Eastern chemical company Pars was founded in 2007. This company can produce 1.65 million tons of methanol per year.
