The deputy commander of the Iran 's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy Brig-Gen Alireza Tangsiri has said that his forces are ready to conduct suicidal attacks against the US warships in the Persian Gulf.
"There are a number of people who are ready to blow up themselves with explosives to destroy American vessels," the semi-official FARS news agency quoted him as saying Oct. 12.
Then he added that IRGC knows that the enemy is capable of striking its bases so the commanders have decided to hide the arms and equipment.
"We have dug tunnels along the Southern coasts of the country which are capable of keeping vessels, missiles and rocket-launchers," he said.
Earlier Iran announced that it had built up remote-controlled suicide boats that could be used in attacks against the US warships.
