A number of Iranian building workers gathered in front of the parliament on Nov.16 to protest against the liberalization of insurance fees, Iran's Fars news agency reported on November 16.
One of the protesters said each worker paid 500,000 rials (about $16) of insurance fee per month and the remainder was paid by the employer. But, after the liberalization of insurance fees, workers have to pay the full amount of 1.8 million rials (about $56) of insurance fee per month.
