Georgia has closed the Lars border checkpoint for vehicles of all kinds due to bad weather on Monday.
The date when the border will reopen is unknown.
Georgia has taken Armenian citizens who are temporarily unable to move to Russia out of the mountain regions. They are provided with food and shelter.
Georgia closed the corridor a few months ago because of the bad weather. It caused discontent of truck drivers who were traveling to Armenia and stopped at Larsa. The issue of opening the border point of Armenia and Georgia were discussed on the highest level.
