Georgian Parliament will consider declaring a vote of confidence to the new composition of the government and its program, intended for four years, at an extraordinary meeting today.

A new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers has been determined by a decree of the Georgian President. President Mikheil Saakashvili asks to declare a vote of confidence to the composition of the government, which Vano Merabishvili will introduce at the extraordinary meeting of the parliament.

Georgian new government is headed by former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili.
Former Defense Minister, Bacho Akhalaia has been appointed as Interior Minister, former Education and Science Minister Dmitry Shashkin has been appointed as Defense Minister, Khatiya Dekanoidze has been appointed as Education and Science Minister, while Dali Khomeriki has been appointed as Minister of IDPs and Resettlement.

The remaining ministers retained their posts.

The state ministers also retained their posts.

Opposition factions have already said they will not support the new government.
