Former Minister of Justice and Education Nika Gvaramia has been appointed Director-General of "Rustavi-2" broadcasting company by a decision of the company's founders. He is a member of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's team.
Gvaramia told reporters that at present there is such situation in Georgia that "Rustavi-2" can get a new round of development.
As the company said, its former CEO Giorgi Gegeshidze remained owner of a 9-percent stake in the company and by a decision of the founders, he became chairman of the "Rustavi-2" Supervisory Board. "Sakartvelo" TV company is owner of 51-percent stake in "Rustavi-2", George Karamanishvili owns 18-percent stake, while 22-percent share is owned Levan Karamanishvili.
