The number of visitors from Kazakhstan traveling to Georgia in 2021 increased by 384.7 percent to 66,781 visitors, compared to 13,779 people over 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the same indicator decreased by 35.5 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 2019, when 103,611 people visited Georgia from Kazakhstan.
The number of visitors from Kazakhstan to Georgia only in December 2021 totaled 4,624 people, which is an increase of 594.3 percent, compared to 666 people over the same month of 2020, and a decrease of 43.9 percent, compared to 8,236 tourists in December 2019.
Thus, Kazakhstan ranks 8 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for people arriving in Georgia in 2021, the report said.
The total number of international visitors to Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to 1.8 million visitors, which is an increase of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.7 million over the same period of 2020.
