The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that Egypt will follow the developments in Tunisia closely and will respect people's choice, Xinhua reported.
Egypt called on Tunisians to hold together in order to protect what they have achieved since their independence, and avoid any negative development that could lead to danger.
Egypt also expressed its confidence in Tunisians' wisdom to keep things in control and avoid more riots.
