Anders Fogh Rasmussen, secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, is to make an official visit to Slovakia, NATO reported in a statement Wednesday.
Rasmussen is due to arrive on Thursday in Bratislava and meet with Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova and President Ivan Gasparovic, as well as the ministers for foreign affairs, defence and interior, to discuss security matters, dpa reported.
The former Soviet satellite, Slovakia has been a NATO member since 2004 and is engaged in various international missions including the one in Afghanistan. NATO leadership has criticized Slovakia for providing too few financial resources for its military.
