US embassy says no diplomats killed in Pakistan attack
The US embassy in Pakistan said Monday that no consulate employee was killed in the bombing attack of a vehicle in Peshawar, capital of north-western province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, dpa reported.
Spokesman Rian Harris confirmed that a consulate vehicle was targeted and said "two US personnel and two Pakistani staff of the consulate were injured."
Earlier, provincial minister Mian Iftikhar said that two US citizen and Pakistani were killed. Three bodies were reportedly brought to a local hospital after the attack.
