At least 22 people drowned when a boat carrying Syrian refugees sank off Turkey's coast in the Aegean Sea, the Turkish Haber7 newspaper reported Feb. 8.
In late January, a vessel carrying Syrian migrants sank as they were trying to illegally cross into Greece from the Turkish province of Canakkale. Thirty five people died in that shipwreck.
