The Turkish Armed Forces will use the new tank armor system “Pulat” in Syria’s Afrin, said Ismail Demir, head of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) of Turkey, Turkish media reported March 5.
He noted that the new system has fully passed the tests. Previous reports said the new system would be installed on to the Leopard 2 and M 60 tanks.
On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.
