Volume of half-year LPG shipment via Turkish ports announced

Over 1.57 million tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) were transported through the ports of Turkey from January through June 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend .

During the indicating period, 52,411 tons of LPG were transported through the Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag, and 1.52 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

In the first half of this year, LPG transit traffic through the ports of Turkey was not carried out.

The volume of cargo transshipment via the ports of Turkey for the reporting period amounted to over 179.6 million tons. At the same time, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag exceeded 14.3 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey by ships flying their countries’ flags amounted to 6.9 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 158.3 million tons.

During this period, 36.1 million tons of cargo were moved in transit through the Turkish ports.

In June 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey made up over 28.1 million tons. In this month, cargo movement by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.4 tons.

The volume of transshipment of goods through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1 million tons, and flying the flags of other countries – 24.6 million tons.

In June 2020, 5.4 million tons of cargo passed via the Turkish ports.
