Export of grain and legumes from Turkey to Azerbaijan grew by 30.59 percent in the first 7 months of 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, having made up $60.8 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on August 27.
According to the ministry, in July 2020, Turkey exported grain and legumes worth over $5.8 million to Azerbaijan, which is 1.51 percent more than in the same month of last year.
The grain and legumes exports from Turkey to world markets increased by 7.2 percent from January through July 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, having exceeded $4 billion.
The ministry noted that export of grain and legumes made up 4.5 percent of the country's total exports during the mentioned period.
In July 2020, Turkey exported the grain and legumes to international markets in the amount of over $590.5 million, which is 8.1 percent more compared to July 2019, the ministry said.
Turkey’s export of grain and legumes in July 2020 accounted for 3.9 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from July 2019 through July 2020), Turkey exported the grain and legumes worth over $7 billion.
