Export of ready-made clothes from Turkey to Azerbaijan edged up by 7.2 percent in the past 11 months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, surpassing $43.7 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Dec.8.
In November 2020, Turkey exported ready-made clothes worth over $4.8 million to Azerbaijan, which is 28.7 percent more than in the same month of last year, said the ministry.
The export of ready-made clothes from Turkey to foreign markets decreased by 5.4 percent in the past eleven months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, making up over $15.4 billion.
According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of clothes made up 10.2 percent of the country's total exports for the mentioned period.
In November this year, Turkey exported ready-made clothes worth over $1.5 billion to international markets, which is 0.9 percent less than in the same month of 2019, the ministry said.
Turkey’s clothing exports for the reporting month accounted for 9.5 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from November 2019 through November 2020), Turkey exported ready-made clothes worth over $16.8 billion abroad.
