The export volume of defense industry products from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 16.5 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to $1.5 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on June 2.
Moreover, the export volume of defense industry products from Turkey to Georgia decreased by 36.4 percent in April 2021 compared to April 2020 and amounted to $265,000.
Turkey increased the export of defense industry products by 47.7 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the same period of last year up to $949.7 million.
Thus, Turkey exported the defense industry products worth $302.5 million in April 2021, which is 88.3 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
Turkey’s export of defense industry products totaled $2.6 billion over the past 12 months (April 2020 - April 2021).
